“A woman of the third millennium”: New horizons of international cooperation and women’s leadership were discussed in Moscow.

The opening ceremony was preceded by an inspiring video about the achievements of the Regional Public Organization International Union of Women. Opera singer Ekaterina Bezdolnaya created a special atmosphere by singing the soulful song “I look into the blue lakes.”

The moderator was Suren Vardanyan, Executive Director of the Forum-Exhibition “AGROBRICS+”, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on Foreign Economic Activity. Deputy Head of the Working group on financing Industrial enterprises  The Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on Financial, Industrial and Investment Policy. Co-Chairman of the Investment Council under the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs of Moscow. Suren Oganesovich read out letters of welcome from senior government officials.

Alexander Mikhailovich Babakov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, noted in his address:

“I am glad to welcome you at the IV International WOMEN OF THE THIRD MILLENNIUM Forum and express my gratitude to the organizers for creating this important international platform that unites women from different countries, cultures and professions.

We are living in a period of rapid transformation. The world is facing new technological and social challenges, and it is in such conditions that the role of women as leaders, creators and guardians of values becomes especially noticeable. Today, women lead companies and research projects, form humanitarian initiatives, develop social practices, and make a huge contribution to strengthening peace and mutual understanding. Their ability to connect mind and heart, tradition and renewal gives humanity and sustainability to development.

Russia attaches great importance to supporting women’s leadership. The country is developing a system of measures to strengthen the family, expand opportunities in entrepreneurship, science, education and the social sphere. These areas unite parliamentarians with different views, since strengthening the role of women is the key to a sustainable future.

The International format gives special value to the forum. Representatives of the diplomatic community, business, culture and science meet here. Such cooperation shows that cultural diversity can be the foundation of trust and partnership, and ideas born out of dialogue can develop into real projects that improve people’s lives.

I am convinced that the participation of women in solving global challenges is an essential resource for strengthening peace, the economy and the humanitarian sphere. The THIRD MILLENNIUM WOMAN Forum is a vivid confirmation that women’s leadership is becoming a driving force for cooperation and creation.

Keynote address: strategic vision

It is a great honor and pleasure for me to open this forum, which brings together outstanding women from all over the world in Moscow for the fourth time.

When we started this journey, our main goal was to create a platform for dialogue – a dialogue without borders, where women leaders from different fields: politics, business, science, culture and art – could combine their efforts, vision and energy to build a sustainable and harmonious future.

Today, looking at this audience, I see that this goal is becoming a reality. We have gathered amazing women here – those who not only adapt to the new geopolitical reality, but also actively shape it, creating a new architecture of cooperation and trust.

Our Union has always focused on three pillars: culture, business and public diplomacy.

Culture, as our annual festival “By the Hands of a Woman” and the photo contest “Mom and Children in national costumes” show, is the universal language that erases barriers. It is women’s entrepreneurship, to which many of our sessions are devoted, that is becoming a driver of economic sustainability. And it is public diplomacy based on a sincere desire to understand each other that builds bridges where it would seem impossible to build them.

I want to read you words of support from a man whose work is an example of service to society for all of us. This is a greeting from Galina Nikolaevna Karelova, Senator of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum at the Federation Council:

This parting message is a great honor for us and at the same time a high standard of responsibility. We are grateful to Galina Nikolaevna for such a high appreciation of our efforts.
We have two eventful days ahead of us, filled with discussions about global challenges, diplomacy, creative industries, business development and the agro-industrial complex, as well as the preservation of our unique cultural code.
I believe that the energy of this forum, your ideas and your friendship, which will surely be born here, will become the very creative principle that can change the world for the better.

Over the years of the forum’s existence, its geography has been constantly expanding. The Forum confirmed its status as an authoritative platform for international dialogue, bringing together over 500 delegates and distinguished guests from the regions of Russia and 40 countries over two days, including official delegations from Qatar, Libya, China, as well as representatives of the CIS, BRICS, Asia and Africa.
