The Organizing Committee is delighted to announce that on January 31, 2026, we officially commenced the preparations and launch of the 7th season of the International Photo Contest “Mother and Children in National Costumes”!
By decree of the President of the Russian Federation, 2026 has been declared the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. Our contest, which in its very essence is dedicated to the beauty of cultural diversity and family values, is a direct embodiment of its goals and objectives. In a multinational Russia, where hundreds of peoples live in harmony, such projects are of particular importance — they allow us to see through art how the traditions of a single family become the heritage and pride of the entire country, how the threads of different cultures are woven into a single, strong tapestry of national unity.
For many years, this project has served as a vivid illustration of family values and the beauty of the cultural diversity of Russia and our participating countries. In the new season, we will continue this wonderful tradition that unites hearts through the language of national costume, music, and dance.
Key Announcements for the New Season:
The official start of accepting applications for all categories is scheduled for March 1, 2026. Follow the news so you don’t miss anything!
The three main categories of the contest:

Photo Contest “Mother and Children in National Costumes” — the main and most popular category, where the connection between generations and the beauty of national heritage are revealed through the art of photography.

National Lullaby Contest — a category where the soul of the people is heard. We await your videos performing traditional lullabies.

National Dance Contest — a dynamic and spectacular category dedicated to preserving and popularizing choreographic heritage.
At the moment, the Organizing Committee is actively drafting the Contest Regulations. Participants of the new season can look forward to an important innovation — the addition of a new category, the details of which will be revealed very soon!
Important Notice for Participants of the 6th Contest:
Participants of the sixth season of the photo contest must download their diplomas from their personal accounts on the official website by February 20, 2026.
❗ Attention! After February 20, 2026, access to personal accounts on the previous contest’s website will be closed for technical updates. Please take care to save your awards in advance.
