The International Women’s Union has received a letter from Galina Nikolaevna Karelova, Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, expressing support for our main event of the year — the 5th Anniversary International Forum “Woman of the Third Millennium.”
This event has become a significant confirmation of the high status of our Forum and the recognition of the women’s agenda at the federal level.
Support at the Highest Level
In her letter, Galina Nikolaevna Karelova noted the importance of the Forum for the development of international women’s cooperation and the strengthening of humanitarian ties. The support of the Federation Council is not only a high assessment of our work but also an important impulse for the further development of the project.
The International Women’s Union expresses special gratitude to Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko, Chairperson of the Federation Council, and personally to Galina Nikolaevna Karelova for their many years of attention and unwavering support of our initiatives. It is very important to us that at the federal level, women’s voices are heard, our work is valued, and our values are shared.
The Forum as a Platform for International Dialogue
The 5th Anniversary International Forum “Woman of the Third Millennium” will take place on November 18–19, 2026, in Moscow at the Cultural Center of the Main Administration for Service to the Diplomatic Corps under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
In 2026, declared the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the Forum will bring together women leaders, experts, public figures, representatives of government, diplomats, business, and NGOs from 89 regions of Russia and more than 40 countries worldwide. The theme of the anniversary Forum is: “Woman of the Third Millennium: A Multipolar World – A Dialogue of Trust, Investment, and Cultural Unity.”
Recognition and New Horizons
A separate source of pride for us is that information about the 5th Anniversary Forum will be published on the official website of the Eurasian Women’s Forum Council. This is a sign of high recognition and a major step toward expanding international dialogue.
We thank everyone who has stayed with us year after year, supports our initiatives, and shares our values. There is still much work ahead, but today we can say with confidence: the women’s agenda in Russia is receiving a worthy place at the highest level.
