The International Women’s Union has received official support from the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States. CIS Secretary General S.N. Lebedev sent a letter to our organization confirming the readiness of the CIS Executive Committee to provide informational support for the anniversary Forum.
Official Support Across the CIS Space
The CIS Executive Committee, taking into account the opinion of the Secretariat of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS Member States, has given consent to the Regional Public Organization “International Women’s Union” to use the emblem of the Commonwealth of Independent States and its image on the website of the 5th Anniversary International Forum “Woman of the Third Millennium,” information resources, and banners of the event.
Information about the Forum has already been sent to the governments of CIS Member States to facilitate the participation of national representatives. The greeting of the CIS Secretary General will be delivered by an official representative of the Executive Committee.
This is high recognition of the Forum’s significance at the international level and an important step in the development of the women’s movement across the Commonwealth.
What Does This Mean for the Forum?
The support of the CIS Executive Committee is high recognition of our Forum’s significance at the international level and an important impulse for the further development of the project. The symbolism of the Commonwealth on the Forum’s information resources underscores its openness, scale, and commitment to strengthening dialogue between countries.
We sincerely thank CIS Secretary General S.N. Lebedev and the staff of the Executive Committee for their attention to our event and their readiness for cooperation.
